Episode 4 - Switzerland: Landquart - Klosters-Serneus - Davos - Filisur & Chur - Sankt Moritz
Release Date: 2000-12-13The illness of a woman caused a Dutchman to build the famous railway line along and in the bed of the Rhine, also known as the Swiss Grand Canyon. The second pilot tells the story of banker Jan Willem Holsboer, who traveled to Davos in Switzerland in 1887 in connection with the health of his wife. He finally realized his life's work there, the Rhätische Bahn.

Episode 5 - Switzerland: Chur - Arosa & Klosters-Serneus - Lavin & Chur - Disentis
Release Date: 2000-12-20This episode is about the narrow-gauge railway of the Furka Oberalp. Because of the snow, the narrow gauge line makes its way from Disentis over the high passes of the famous winter sports areas to Brig.

Episode 6 - Switzerland: Brig - Visp - Zermatt - Gornergrat
Release Date: 2001-01-03The Brig-Visp-Zermatt Bahn. A train journey from the banks of the Rhone to the summit of the Gornergrat. Episode 7 - United States: Skagway - Fraser - Lake Bennett
Release Date: 2001-01-31White Pass & Yukon Railroad. The railway was built for the gold diggers of the Klondike and Yukon, who came to the biggest gold rush in history. The performance of Big Mike Heney, the designer, has been named one of the technical highlights of the last century.

Episode 8 - Switzerland: Montreux - Gstaad - Zweisimmen & Montreux - Glion - Rochers-de-Naye
Release Date: 2001-02-07Montreux-Oberland-Bernois. He is often referred to as the Golden Pass Panoramic, the train connection between Montreux on Lake Geneva and Zweisimmen. This special narrow-gauge railway runs from the shores of the lake to the peaks of the Bernese Oberland.
