During the meeting, Spada begins to reveal something hot but two hitmen burst in and open fire. Giulia, wounded, is unable to save her informant. Meanwhile, in Rome, many colleagues have left the X Tuscolano. Understaffed, our men wonder why replacements haven't arrived yet. Luca Benvenuto, in a meeting with Commissioner Fittante, discovers that, due to lack of funds, the X will be closed. But fate plays a cruel trick. A shooting in a bar in Tuscolano leaves three dead and one wounded, Remo Damiani (Marco Giuliani). We discover that Remo and Luca were inseparable as teenagers. Pranks, pranks, and a shared love for Viola (Antonella Bavaro), the woman who is now married to Remo and is the mother of their only son, Marco.

Episode 2 - Atto di accusa

Luca meets Viola and informs her of the tragedy that occurred, showing himself to be very close to his dear childhood friend. While the search for the bodies at the site of the explosion continues, Luca must still solve a complex case. Journalist Cosimo Notari has fallen victim to a clear mafia execution. In a video message, Notari himself accuses the builder Francesco Lomartire of his own death, whom he had been investigating for some time for alleged mafia infiltration. But there is no evidence to frame Lomartire. Barbara Rostagno (Lucilla Agosti) discovers that the killer who carried out the murder mounted a particular part on the motorbike, and in this way traces his identity, without telling his colleagues. But the hitman, Evaristo Rossi, surprises her and knocks her out. Our men manage to save her just in time.

Convinced that Luisa Baccarini was murdered, our men investigate the few traces of DNA found at the crime scene. The lead turns out to be good. Thus begins the hunt for Oscar Romero. Meanwhile, Remo's gang continues to evade capture... and Giulia and Luca come into conflict over this.

Who put that bouquet of flowers on Paolo Libero's grave? Giulia is determined to find out. But Luca also has his own ghost to chase, because the clues that lead him to think that Remo is still alive are starting to become too many. Meanwhile, the search for a missing eighteen-year-old tells us once again that the world of teenagers can hide many secrets.

The discovery of a man's body uncovers an intricate and ferocious family story in which it will be difficult for our heroes to figure out who the real culprit of the murder is. In the meantime, the investigations into Remo Damiani's gang continue apace. And in one long night, the fates of the men of the X, their loved ones, and their sworn enemies will be decided.

Giulia Corsi hostage of Oscar Romero. These are dramatic hours for her, for her and for Barbara Rostagno who finds herself hunting the man who killed her sister... Meanwhile, the case of a broken family, the Ricciardis, torn apart by the sudden return of a 'ghost', erupts at X like a tsunami.

Episode 14 - Appesi a un filo

Giulia is forced by an unforeseen event to leave for Palermo, but the investigations on Balsamo and his role, the link between mafia and politics, resume. And while Corsi investigates in the Sicilian capital, in Rome a serious threat looms over an honest and incorruptible councilor.

Episode 15 - All'ultimo secondo

Luca and his colleagues from the X Tuscolano await Giulia's return from Palermo. But they are not the only ones: on the orders of the lawyer Balsamo, Remo and Diego are ready to blow her up with a car bomb. What Remo does not know is that the lawyer has decided that he too must die in the attack.

Episode 16 - La tana del lupo

After the order to abandon the investigation on Balsamo, Giulia decides to continue investigating on her own. She begins to secretly monitor the lawyer's villa, who, however, is already preparing his countermove.

The meeting between Giulia and Balsamo has dramatic and unpredictable results. What if Corsi's obsession with the lawyer had led her to truly lose her mind? In the meantime, Barbara finds herself entangled in a case that brings her entire past into play.

In the meantime, Barbara is kidnapped by the mysterious serial killer. Pietro and Gabriele manage to save her, but a sensational twist completely overturns the direction of the investigation.

After the discovery of Andrea Greco's body, suspicions about who the serial killer might be focus on Roberto, Barbara's ex-husband. Rostagno is initially incredulous, but little by little she realizes that the hypothesis is far from unfounded.
