Married to the Job
Ben becomes the knight in shining armour for a victim of domestic violence after she misconstrues his offers of support for affection. While Ben is blind to Vanessa's growing attraction, Dash and Tom try to warn him of the danger of caring beyond the call of duty. As Vanessa preys on Ben's responsiveness to her calls for help, Ben's professional boundaries invade his private life. His wife, Rachel, arrives in town unexpectedly, seeking a reconciliation. She quickly finds that little has changed: Ben is still married to the job, except that now she has another rival for his affections—and it is not the abused woman. Both women can sense there's something special between Ben and ""that blonde policewoman"", and he becomes the apex of an impossible emotional triangle involving Rachel, Vanessa and Maggie.
