The New Adventures of Chor Lau-heung is a Hong Kong television series adapted from Chu Liuxiang Xinzhuan of Gu Long's Chu Liuxiang novel series. Michael Miu starred as the titular protagonist, Chor Lau-heung. The series was first broadcast on TVB from 12 November 1984 to 4 January 1985. It was rerun in Hong Kong on TVB Jade from February 1 to March 30 in 2006.

Episode 1 - Episode 1
Release Date: 1984-11-12CHOR, after he has crushed many devilish organizations and eliminated a lot of baddies, keeps himself far away from the hustling and bustling mainland to lead a peaceful hiberated life with three beautiful ladies, YEE, HUNG and YING. Yet, the absence of challenge and stimulation make CHOR get tired of the prosaic quiet life. When it comes to GOI's birthday, CHOR most eagerly pays his good friend a visit. Accompanied by the three ladies, CHOR starts off to the mainland. On their way to GOI's, they meet a beautiful girl, CHING, who has great importance to the development of the plot later on. When they arrive at GOI's house, they find GOI is greatly depressed by his only daughter who is suffering from a strange illness, and also the days of his decisive engagement with SIT are numbered. Episode 2 - Episode 2
Release Date: 1984-11-13To see whether the kidnapping is really done by SIT, CHOR sneaks into SIT's house where he finds HUNG is trying to cure SIT's daughter who is also suffering from a strange illness. When CHOR tries to convince SIT to stop his, challenge with GOI, he is on the contrary being advised to keep away from the case. Knowing that his lover, SIT's daughter, gets sick, LAN tries to visit her but gets refused by SIT. CHOR sympathizes with the pitiful couple, helps LAN sneaking into SIT's house, yet, they are discovered by SIT. LAN flees at once while CHOR is being caught and seriously scolded by SIT. On due day, GOI and SIT keep their words and have their fight in the FIVE MILE HILL. The fight is stopped by the news of their daughters' deaths.

Release Date: 1984-11-14At the funeral, GOI's daughter LAI comes to life again and claims herself SIT's daughter YAN. Everyone is shocked and thinks that YAN's spirit has clung to LAI but CHOR senses something fishy and decides to goes to GOI’s mansion to investigate. He is puzzled when he finds that YAN’s room is exactly as LAI described. SIT suspects CHOR of stealing his precious SNAKE SWORD and interrogates him. CHOR finds no way to prove his innocence and promises to look for the sword. CHOR takes SIT to LAI and SIT discovers that her way of thought and character are no different from his daughter YAN. SIT and GOI thus have a fight over who to claim the daughter. CHOR tries hard to mediate and promises to find out the truth of the matter.

Release Date: 1984-11-15A pupil of Hung Tung Clan is killed by the SNAKE SWORD and Leader MA decides to take revenge on SIT and his son BUN. CHOR comes in time to explain about the lost sword but MA is determined not to give up. YUNG lies to LAI that BUN is dying and YUNG becomes very worried. CHING takes the chance to test YUNG and discovers that LAI and BUN are in fact lovers. GOI learns about it and in a fit of rage, locks LAI up. CHING tries to help the lovers run away. After some investigation, CHOR finds out that because of the dispute between the two families, LAI and BUN cannot stay together and so they use tricks to help SIT and GOI reconcile and at the siaf1'1e time help LAN

Release Date: 1984-11-16Repenting, SIT agrees to the marriage between YAN and LAN and helps them to live on their own. Depressed, SIT and GOI postpone their duel. The restless CHING prefers to travel around with CHOR. Her strangeness displeases HUNG and the others. The well reputed inspector YING is ordered to search for CHING who, though a daughter of a rich official, always leaves home and roam about. Respecting each other, CHOR agrees to keep secret after discovering CHING's identity while she promises to assist him in finding the lost sword. To escape from YING, CHING leaves CHOR. Suspecting that people of the BAT PALACE have killed the disciples of the clans like Hung Tung, Dim Cheong and Mo Dong, CHOR pays attention to this secret gang. LO BO of the Kun Lun Clan charges CHOR before the leaders of the clans, for killing his brother. His claim is supported by Leader Ma.… ...

Release Date: 1984-11-19When people are blaming CHOR, WU appears and explains that it is all the treacherous plot of a secret gang. The clans swear to find out the truth. On the way to find CHING, CHOR's three girls, disliking WU's rudeness decide to take a difficult path and to meet CHOR later in the capital. In the Green Field Village, CHOR and WU come across their good friend HANG who, after marriage, abandons his identity as a merciless assassin and leads a peaceful life operating the Wan Loi Tavern. Not only does HANG tolerates the villain CHIN's insult to his wife, he resents WU's interference. WU is disappointed at HANG's cowardice. Cherishing resentment, Chin causes disturbance in the tavern and kidnaps HANG's wife. Being unable to stand his provocation, HANG strikes back.

Release Date: 1984-11-20HANG explains his situation to CHOR and WU and they drink and talkabout their past experience. Admiring HANG’s superb kung-fu kung-fu, CHIN intends to hire him to work for him but is chased away by HANG who warns him not to commit crimes. Once exposing his identity, HANG is discovered by the gang of assassins, THE BLOODY HAND. Forced by the gang to assassinate Master YUEN HUI of Mo Dong Clan, HANG is puzzled. WU invites YUEN HUI whom he meets to the Wan Lai Tavern. Unwilling to kill the upright YUEN HUI, HANG decides to flee with his wife. When HANG sees CHOR and WU off, his wife is murdered. Feeling that there is something wrong, CHOR and WU return to the tavern and discovers the truth. They swears to help HANG to find the murderer. HANG intends to assassinate YUEN HUI but finds that someone has used his style “Piercing the Heart" to murder YUEN HUI.… ...

Release Date: 1984-11-21To investigate where his foe is, HANG asks for the identity of the SUPREME, leader of 'THE BLOODY HAND', from the assassins but fails. He then kills the assassins to force the leader to appear. CHOR and WU go to the Tsui Hung Tavern to ask the coordinator of THE BLOODY HAND to kill CHOR. As the communication of the gang is confidential, CHOR fails to investigate its background. HANG saves CHOR from the assassin who immediately kills himself lest the secret of the gang would be unveiled. HANG receives the SUPREME's order to have a duel in the Chong Loong Valley.… ...

Release Date: 1984-11-22Knowing that CHING is PRINCESS WING CHING, KAM CHUN WAN confines CHING whom he believes will help reviving the status of the KAMs. CHING threatens to kill CHI CHUNG unless CHUN WAN releases her. OLD LADY KAM uses THE DRAGON ROD given by the ex-emperor to stop her. The KAMs lose their influence because of the tyranny of the emperor's fourth brother. To consolidate their power in dealing with the disloyal officials, KAM CHUN YU robs the criminal CHENG. CHENG's death disappoints the KAMs. Sneaking into the Kams " Mansion to save CHING, HUNG and YEE are discovered by OLD LADY KAM. They are rescued by YUNG who disguises as CHOR. By tricks, CHING escapes from the Kams' Mansion. The Kams lose hope in reviving their status. After leaving the mansion, the helpless CHING is assisted by HANG who drinks day and night. Resented, CHING goes away.

Release Date: 1984-11-23TING of the BAT PALACE claims that MASTER BAT can help HANG to find out the murderer of he kidnaps CHING. HANG agrees reluctantly. Coming across CHING, YUNG convinces her to talk to CHOR about returning home. To hide CHING's identity, YEE dresses her up as an insane woman. Impressed by CHOR's care for her, CHING falls in Jove with him. Jealous, YEE picks at her. KO rescues a Persian girl who is insulted by the rascals. She intends to marry KO who rejects due to some hidden reasons. With WU's help, KO gets away from the girl. Though feeling that KO is strange, WU enjoys talking with her while KO grows fond of him though cautious of him. YING is caught by KU in the Rugged Valley and is forced to tell where CHING is. Though harshly assaulted, YING refuses to give in and is saved by CHOR. HANG suddenly appears and is determined to take CHING with him.

Release Date: 1984-11-26HANG refuses to tell CHOR why he must take CHING with him. To protect CHING, CHOR defeats HANG but is himself seriously injured. CHUN of the Wah Shan Clan cures the fainted HANG and leaves since the Clan forbids its disciples to have connections with men. CHING misuses the HOLY MEDICINE to cure CHOR. Losing consciousness, CHOR is saved by DR. CHEUNG. The three girls' prejudice towards CHING is deepened. Recovered, YING brings CHING to the emperor. CHING and CHOR are sad to leave each other. WU captures the rascals who rob the villagers' food, much to KO’s admiration. ABBESS FU MUI of Wah Shan Clan sends CHUN to find KO who is late back. TING threatens to uncover the past love of ABBESS CHING FUNG unless she joins the BAT PALACE. When she rejects, TING kills her and is attacked by HANG who has discovered his crime.

Release Date: 1984-11-27Misunderstood to be working with TING to kill ABBESS CHING FUNG, HANG is surrounded by the disciples of WAH SHAN CLAN but escapes with CHUN's help. ABBESS FU MUI is suspicious of the murderer's identity since CHING FUNG is killed by THE TAI IN FINGER of WAH SHAN CLAN itself. On their way back to the capital, CHING and YING visit the Wai's Mansion. Threatened by TING to expose the past crime of the Wai’s unless he joins the BAT PALACE, WAI commits suicide. Coming across hardships time and again, YING is worried. In spite of YING's persuasion the curious CHING secretly set off for the Peaceful Mansion after hearing that YUEN is gathering the clan's leaders there to discuss how to deal with the corrupt people. The official is bribed by YING who fears that HANG will threaten CHING's live to accuse HANG of robbery and to confine him.… ...

Release Date: 1984-11-28On the way to the Peaceful Mansion, CHOR and WU find that the Chun Wai Escorts and Luk Fook Escorts are disputing over the lost WHITE JADE GUANYIN. Exposing the truth, YUEN succeeds to reconcile, much to the admiration of CHOR and WU. WU is shocked to find that KO is dressed up as a girl. Before ABBESS FUI MUI, KO denies that she knows WU. Through the arrangement of CHOR and CHUN, KO explains her situation to WU and they are happy together again. Rebuking ABBESS FU MUI for her dominance over the disciples, WU is assaulted by the furious FU MUI. HANG is attacked by the LOONG brothers who take revenge for their father and is saved by WONG. Admiring HANG, WONG requests to be his disciple but is sent to Ching Leung Temple by HANG who claims t6 be heavily engaged in important matters. CHOR and WU perchance run into SIU who insists to accompany them to the Peaceful Mansion and arouses ridicule on the way.

Episode 14 - Episode 14
Release Date: 1984-11-29Finding that Siu is poisoned by the food when they are having dinner at the Peaceful Mansion, the clans' leader suspect YUEN of killing them in order to be the leader of the alliance. Trusting YUEN, CHOR persuades the others to investigate the truth. While curing SIU, PRIEST HUNG is attacked and the corpses are stolen. Poisoned, CHUN is saved by CHOR and WU. To see the case more clearly, CHOR decides to leave the mansion. ABBESS FU MUI secretly meets the EMPEROR, her past lover. She hates him for abandoning her while she is pregnant. Indifferent to the EMPEROR's intention to commit suicide, she refuses to tell him where his son is. When CHOR meets YING, he finds that the EMPEROR is persuading CHING to return home. Using the pretext of searching for the imperial seal, CHING asks CHOR and YING to accompany her to the Peaceful Mansion.

Release Date: 1984-11-30To avenge his father, HO induces YUEN to leave the mansion, removes the corpses of the clan leaders whom he murders and imputes crime to YUEN. Knowing that he has fallen into a trap, YUEN returns to the mansion explaining the truth. Ashamed, HO kills himself. Resenting WU's passion towards KO, ABBESS FU MUI severely punishes her. Seeing that her teacher’s health declines out of anger, KO does not want to annoy her. Loving CHING, WAI of the LUK FOOK SECURITY arouses ill feeling between CHOR and CHING but CHING is affected. The imperial seal is indeed stolen by the FOURTH LORD who plots to assassinate the EMPEROR and then sends down an edict claiming himself the emperor. Though his plot is ruined by HANG, the FOURTH LORD refuses to give up. People are shocked by DR. CHEUNG's saying that the clan leaders die by committing suicide.

Release Date: 1984-12-03CHOR rescues CHING who is kidnapped by HANG. Advised by YING to return to the capital, CHING requests CHOR to go with her. While ABBESS FU MUI brings KO and CHUN back to WAH SHAN CLAN, WU forcibly takes KO away. Impressed, FU MUI agrees to their marriage. Disappointing WU, KO suddenly changes her mind and leaves with FU MUI. By tricks, HANG places the unconscious CHING in the cart of DIM CHEONG CLAN and kidnaps CHING after the cart leaves the mansion. Knowing from YING that CHING is kidnapped, the EMPEROR is worried. Heavily engaged in matters of the Court, the EMPEROR persuades CHOR with awards to search for CHING. Though uninterested in fame and fortune, CHOR promises to save CHING with YING out of his love for her.

Release Date: 1984-12-04The FOURTH LORD forces the EMPEROR whom he kidnaps to yield the throne but is rejected. Saving the EMPEROR’s guard FEI, YUEN suspects his identity and starts to investigate. FEI intrudes WAH SHAN CLAN intending to ask ABBESS FU MUI where the EMPEROR is but is stopped by KO and CHUN who point out that their master is practising her kung-fu in private. CHING loses vitality after taking HANG's medicine and is brought to the BAT PALACE. She fails to escape due to her feebleness. On the way, HANG is attacked by his enemies the LOONG brothers but is rescued by HUNG. Saved, HANG flees. HANG brings CHING to pay tribute to his wife. CHING is impressed by HANG's true love for his wife after knowing his reason for kidnapping her.

Release Date: 1984-12-05HANG is grateful for CHING's assistance while he is attacked and injured by the assassin. Requested by HUNG, YUEN searches for CHING. Trying to mediate among LAM LING CHI and the rascals whom he meets on the way, YUEN is rebuked by LING for helping the rascals while YUEN just laughs it off. While the KAMs are plotting how to deal with the disloyal officials, YUEN visits OLD LADY KAM and is invited to stay. YUEN is suspicious of the KAMs' strangeness. Hearing that the EMPEROR is kidnapped, LING sneaks into the FOURTH LORD's mansion and is discovered by KU. Saving LING, YUEN leaves a good impression to her. Blamed by the KAMs, LING decides to roam about with YUEN. Disputing over the wine, LING and WU fight but are stopped by CHOR whom LING highly respects. Entrusted by CHOR to find CHING, the disciples of the BEGGARS CLAN are killed.… ...

Release Date: 1984-12-06Resisting the attack of the BAT PALACE's assassins, CHOR helps the injured LING to escape. Intruding into WAH SHAN CLAN again, FEI is stopped by KO's CHING FUNG STYLE. ABBESS FU MUI tells FEI who has kidnapped her disciple that she has nothing to do with the missing EMPEROR. With a plot in mind, FU MUI sends CHUN to request YUEN to find the EMPEROR. Taken care of by YUEN while she is recovering from her injury, LING falls in love with YUEN, much to WU's jealousy. Receiving from CHUN KO's pendant which indicates KO's love for him, WU feels sad. Meeting CHOR again, CHUN does not have to the courage to show her passion. Looked after by CHING, HANG feels ashamed. CHING's willingness to go to the BAT PALACE in return of the secret and her encouragement for him puzzles HANG.

Release Date: 1984-12-07When CHOR and WU find CHING, HANG, unwilling to make use of CHING, has secretly left. Sympathizing HANG, they decide to help him. HANG saves TUNG who is forced by her husband to be a prostitute. In gratitude, TUNG, disguising as CHING, follows HANG to the BAT PALACE. Rebuked by CHING for his coldness and his relation with CHUN, CHOR admits that due to their different status, their love is hopeless. To escape from the trouble of love, CHUN returns to WAH SHAN CLAN. When meeting YING in PRINCE CHUN's mansion, CHOR and the others are besieged by the fighters of the BAT PALACE. LING misses YUEN who, injured when protecting CHING, decides to go back to the mansion alone. MASTER BAT discovers the identity of TUNG when HANG arrives at his palace. Knowing that MASTER BAT has murdered his wife, HANG fights with him and falls into a trap.

Release Date: 1984-12-10Falling down from the cliff, HANG is not killed and gets along with the BAT PALACE’s assassins waiting for the chance to take revenge. Troubled by love, WU and CHING drown their sorrow by drinking. Through WU's arrangement, CHING tests CHOR’s love for her but is disappointed by his indifference. YING fails to find the EMPEROR and the kingdom is under the control of the FOURTH LORD. Disappointed by CHOR and urged by the ministers to handle the national policies, CHING returns to the capital. Failing to force the EMPEROR to surrender his throne, the FOURTH LORD intends to catch CHING who escapes with HUNG's help. THE TRANSACTION MEETING is help in the BAT PALACE to sell people's secrets.… ...

Release Date: 1984-12-11To escape, HANG jumps into the sea but is still chased after by the assassins. Exhausted, he faints at the coast. Saved by MASTER MIU FAT of the CHING LEUNG TEMPLE, HANG insists to return to the BAT PALACE. Failing to convince HANG to give up, MIU FAT asks him to stay in the temple until he recovers. WU and LING drown their sorrow by drinking and unconsciously make love. Accepting WU's apology, LING promises to forget it. To divert the enemy's attention, YUNG, HUNG and YEE disguise as CHOR, WU and CHING. They are invited by GOI to drink with him. After poisoning them, KU forces YEE to dress up like CHING and threatens the EMPEROR to surrender his throne. Failing to cheat the EMPEROR, the FOURTH LORD bursts into a rage. Discovering KU's treacherous plot, CHOR intrudes the LORD's mansion to save his girls but is trapped by KU.… ...

Release Date: 1984-12-12OLD LADY KAM sends CHI CHUNG to bring LING home but LING refuses. Alert at LING's strangeness and her private talks with CHI CHUNG, CHING suspects her to be the traitor and informs CHOR. To divert the KAMs' attention so that he can search around their mansion CHOR informs them that he will steal the DRAGON ROD. Though the KAMs are well equipped, CHOR succeeds to steal the rod but fails to find the EMPEROR. Blamed by OLD LADY KAM to have stolen her rod, CHOP points out that it is still in her mansion. Furious, she brings LING away. Missing LING, WU rushes to the KAMs' Mansion but is chased away by OLD LADY KAM. Persuaded by LING, WU leaves reluctantly. After resting for a few months, HANG leaves the temple and comes across CHOR, Convinced by CHOR who analyzes the prevailing situation, HANG joins his alliance.

Release Date: 1984-12-13Forced to serve the prisoners in the BAT PALACE, Tung meets the EMPEROR who is kidnapped by MASTER BAT. Talking with each other their own experience, the EMPEROR and TUNG become friends. Ashamed of his delinquency in protecting the EMPEROR, FEI intends to kill himself but is stopped by YING. Knowing from FEI that the EMPEROP has visited WAH SHAN CLAN before being kidnapped, YING goes to find ABBESS FU MUI. Blaming YING and FEI for disturbing, FUI MUI chases them away. Injured, she entrusts the clan's affairs to KO and CHUN and lives in private. The fact is that YUEN is actually FU MUI's son whom she has entrusted to the YUEN's care.… ...

Release Date: 1984-12-14People of the BAT PALACE suddenly attack WU and CHOR but are defeated. Believing that it is a means to test their kung-fu, HANG asks the others' to be careful. Asked by KO to elope with her, WU hesitates. KO runs away misunderstanding that he loves LING. The People are exhausted after struggling with a poisonous bay which suddenly attacks the Peaceful Mansion. Bitten by the bat, HANG and the others turn mad. Seeing that the others die because of the bat's poison, CHOR persuades HANG to find a doctor but is rejected. CHOR uses his kung-fu to stop the poisonous blood from flowing to HANG's heart. Losing control, CHUN admits her love for CHOR. CHOR persuades FU MUI who intends to kill CHUN in order to save face to consult DR.CHEUNG. At the meeting of all clans, people are besieged by the BAT PALACE's assassins. Disguising as MASTER BAT, YIU of DIM CHEONG CLAN is killed by HANG.

Release Date: 1984-12-17Killing his foe, HANG leaves the Peaceful Mansion and decides to live in the CHING LEUNG TEMPLE as a monk. The clans also depart believing that the evil is destroyed. Reaching DR. CHEUNG's house, CHOR finds it messy and that CHUN and YUNG are missing. Stopping OLD LADY KAM's fighter from informing YING his plot to trap CHING, KWAN accuses the KAMs before YING of treachery. The KAM's murder of Kwan arouses CHOR's suspicion. Suspecting the KAMs of treachery, CHOR annoys LING by asking her to secretly inform the activities of the KAMs. Disputing with the KAMs, CHOR unintentionally hurts CHUN WAN but later discovers OLD LADY KAM's hidden intention.

Release Date: 1984-12-18Finding out that KWAN is bribed by the FOURTH LORD to kill CHING, CHOR apologizes to OLD LADY KAM for his impulsiveness. Seeing GOI attack the KAMs, LIM3 blames CHOR and forces WU to murder him. Though saved by CHING, CHOR is greatly upset. Knowing that GOI is used by the FOURTH PRINCE to destroy the influence of the KAMs, CHOR assaults him. Ashamed, GOI intentionally loses the fight. CHOR and CHING hide in the boat while YING and FEI returns to the capital to investigate the situation. YING and FEI discovers the FOURTH PRINCE's scheme to overthrow the EMPEROR but is puzzled knowing that the EMPEROR is not confined by the LORD. While the clans are worrying about the missing EMPEROR, TING sells the news of the EMPEROR to the FOURTH LORD. The LORD agrees to the transaction but secretly plans to kidnap the EMPEROR.

Release Date: 1984-12-19WU tries to explain his situation to KO who, determined to break their connection, rejects to meet him. Pleased, ABBESS FU MUI decides to appoint KO the clan leader before she departs for the Taoist Meeting. On her way to the meeting, FU MUI comes across the BAT PALACE's fighters and the FOURTH LORD disputing over their transaction. FU MUI intends to bring the EMPEROR away but finds him missing. FU MUI seeks help from YUEN but finds him indifferent. Believing her that he is the EMPEROR's son, YUEN gathers the clan leaders to discuss how they should deal with the BAT PALACE. Misunderstanding that FU MUI has taken the EMPEROR away, the FOURTH LORD intrudes WAH SHAN CLAN. Failing to find the EMPEROR, he burns the WAH SHAN TEMPLE and kidnaps KO and WU. To uproot the influence of the FOURTH LORD, YING and FEI intend to assassinate him. Defeated, they fall down a precipice.

Release Date: 1984-12-20Knowing the FOURTH PRINCE's crime, CHOR informs him that he will get back the imperial seal. Although the LORD is well prepared, CHOR manages to steal the seal. Assaulted by the FOURTH LORD, WU and KO refuse to disclose where CHOR is. Sympathizing WU, KO forgives him. In the meeting of the clans, CHING unintentionally reveals her identity which shocks the leaders. CHOR convinces them to help save the EMPEROR while worrying that MASTER BAT is still living. MASTER BAT threatens to kill YEE, CHUN and DR. CHEUNG unless CHOR joins him. Defeated by MASTER BAT, CHOR flees.

Release Date: 1984-12-21To help DR. CHEUNG to escape, the EMPEROR pretends to fall ill and asks DR. CHEUNG to get the herb. Suspicious, TING sends the masked HUNG to get the herb. HUNG tries to recognize the route by the smell of the surroundings and flees after poisoning the guards. WU and KO promise to marry each other. Failing to escape, they wait for CHOR. Release Date: 1984-12-26Announcing the Emperor's death, the FOURTH PRINCE succeeds the throne and orders the arrest of the real emperor whom the LORD accuses of cheating. Saved by FU MUI, the EMPEROR decides to go to Wan Nam to seek GENERAL TUEN's help. On the way, the EMPEROR and the others run into the couple LAN and YAN who wander around singing for a living and go to stay at the couple's house. Though discovering that the EMPEROR is chased after by the court, LAN and YAN, in gratitude, decide to help CHING. Knowing that OLD LADY KAM is prosecuted for her relation with CHOR, CHOR and WU intrude the FOURTH PRINCE's mansion and, falling into KU's trap, kidnap the faked LORD. KU then orders the arrest of them. FU MUI and YING kill the guards who searches around LAN's house and insult YAN. LAN decides to leave with the EMPEROR. Discovering that LAN is her son, FU MUI tells YAN her past experience.

Release Date: 1984-12-27To undermine the FOURTH LDRD's power, CHOR kidnaps his subordinate SHEK and sends YUNG to capture the disloyal officials. Missing each other, YUEN and LING are happy meeting again at the Peaceful Mansion. Knowing the FOURTH LORD's crime, YUEN swears to get rid of him. Believing that the officials are kidnapped by YUEN, the FOURTH LORD sends YEUNG to destroy the Peaceful Mansion. YEUNG is later captured by CHOR. CHOR's plot to make public YEUNG's written repentance frightens the FOURTH LORD who immediately holds a meeting to pacify the officials. CHOR interferes during the meeting. CHOR succeeds to confine the FOURTH LORD. YUEN hurriedly brings the EMPEROR back to the capital.

Release Date: 1984-12-28On the way to find FU MUI, CHOR discovers that MASTER BAT is still alive. Moved by LAN and YAN’s intention to lead a carefree life instead of pursuing fame and fortune, CHING decides to follow CHOR. Suspected by CHOR to be MASTER BAT, YUEN sets off for Wan Nam to bring the EMPEROR back while directing LING to poison CHOR and WU. TING captures CHOR who discovers their trick. TING intends to kill CHOR who loses vitality due to LING's poison. SIT comes to the rescue.

Release Date: 1984-12-31When KU attacks CHOR and WU who are seriously injured, CHING succeeds to frighten him away. To divert KU's attention, CHOR instructs the others to disguise as himself and set off with CHING to meet the EMPEROR. As the masked CHOR and CHING are fighting with TING for disputing over a transaction, MASTER BAT attacks CHOR but avoids hurting CHING. CHOR suspects that MASTER BAT is YUEN. While YUEN suggests to the EMPEROR that he succeeds the throne, FU MUI, induced by LAN's intention to leave, unravels that LAN is the EMPEROR’s son . On her way to find FU MUI, CHUN is chased after by KU and is led by SIU to escape through the secret path under YUEN's bed, much to CHUN's suspicion. Seeing that the situation is not favorable, MASTER BAT wants to close the Palace and forces TING to kill CHOR.

Release Date: 1985-01-01YUEN is furious discovering that he is in fact the nun CHING FUNG's illegitimate son and that he has been made use of by FU MUI to take revenge on the heartless EMPEROR. Controlling himself, YUEN waits for the chance to seize the throne. To undermine the relation between CHOR and the EMPEROR, YUEN accuses CHOR to be a Bat-fighter. Discovering YUEN's plot, FU MUI warns the EMPEROR. Cured by DR. CHEUNG, CHOR captures TING who attacks him believing that he has lost vitality. Though pleasing YUEN by assisting him to harm CHOR, LING finds him indifferent. Blamed by LING, YUEN promises to marry her to avoid further disputes which may affect his plan. Seeing that YUEN is trying every means to seize the throne, FU MUI sends him to WAH SHAN. YUEN brings LAN with him and intends to kill him on the way. Coming to LAN's rescue, FU MUI is forced to fall down the cliff by YUEN.

Release Date: 1985-01-02YUEN accuses SIT of murdering FU MUI. The EMPEROR puts LAN, SIT and his daughter into jail. Suspicious, CHOR starts to investigate. Besieged by Wu at WAH SHAN, WU and KO hide in the secret room with the FOURTH LORD while CHUN seeks help from CHOR. Forbidden by YUEN to save WU, CHOR secretly searches for FU MUI and discovers her corpse. Releasing SIT and the others, CHOR is accused by YUEN before the EMPEROR. YUEN sends LING to poison the EMPEROR but is discovered by CHING who, however, lacks evidence to accuse YUEN. Growing weak, the EMPEROR announces that YUEN is to be his heir. In the ceremony, CHOR appears disclosing that YUEN is not the EMPPEROR’s son.

Release Date: 1985-01-03CHOR shows the letter written by FU MUI before her death and orders TING to reveal YUEN's identity as MASTER BAT. Furious, YUEN captures CHING. YUEN dislikes LING for following him. Jealous, LING sets CHING free. On her way to GENERAL TUEN's mansion, CHING meets TING and convinces him to disclose the secret of the BAT PALACE and to join them in uprooting it. YUEN kills TING and attacks the EMPEROR but is stopped by YING.

Release Date: 1985-01-04Defeated by CHOR when attacking the starving WU, KU flees to the BAT PALACE. Regaining sovereignty, the EMPEROR punishes the FOURTH LORD by sending him to the border areas. Tired of power struggle, the EMPEROR decides to pass his throne to LAN who, convinced by YAN, finally agrees to accept it. Reorganized, the BAT PALACE arouses disturbance everywhere. CHUN and the others plan to destroy it. Using LING, CHOR succeeds to cheat YUEN and easily destroys the palace. Fearing that YUEN will be killed in his duel with CHOR, LING kills YUEN and herself.
