Lux Video Theatre (1950)
Lux Video Theatre is an American anthology series that was produced from 1950 until 1959. The series presented both comedy and drama in original teleplays, as well as abridged adaptations of films and plays.

Episode 2 - Forever Walking Free
Release Date: 1951-09-03The story takes place in London during the height of the "Battle of Britain" when the Luftwaffe was bombing the populace. Joan Warrock's home has been bombed. She meets an American Air Force gunner, Buster Menton, in the blackout-darkened streets shortly afterwards and he takes her to an afterhour "pub" to calm her nerves. It isn't until the evening is over that she realizes there has been something strange about the place and about Buster. Her thoughts return to the party in the bombed building and she dreads all the future bombing that will come, until Menton convinces her that he knows that she has nothing to worry about in the future.

Episode 4 - A Family Affair
Release Date: 1951-09-17An outwardly weak-kneed, henpecked member of Philadelphia's elite, Sumner Scofield II is constantly reminded by his wife that he must look down his bank-roll at anyone not in the same financial and social bracket as the Scofields. When their son Will, home from Yale for Spring vacation declares he wants to quit college and marry a vocalist in a band, Agnes Scofield tells Sumner the family must "buy the girl off". Sumner's encounter with the young singer takes an unusual turn which allows him to assert himself for once in his life.

Episode 5 - A Matter of Life

The bank trustees suspect that Baldwin is involved in the crime but don't accuse him. He cannot find other work because of the scandal and is practically penniless when he receives a strange offer of $100,000 if he will leave town.

Episode 17 - The Blues Street
Release Date: 1951-12-17Pete Cornelius the 19-year-old son of a wealthy businessman is on his way to college for his first year's studies but when he stops off in New Orleans on the way to the school Pete becomes fascinated with the city. He also becomes interested in a nightclub vocalist, Lou Jansen and decides against catching his train for the University. His disappearance causes his father to send out a nationwide alarm and offers $1000 reward for his son's return. When this is announced Lou plays a different part in his life than he had anticipated.

Episode 21 - Ceylon Treasure
Release Date: 1952-01-14Adventurer Dave Rorsford arrives at a hotel in Ceylon carrying a gem worth a fortune, an international band of thieves immediately find out about it and make plans to steal it. A blonde named Alma also turns up at the same hotel hoping to buy the jewel. Indirectly she lures Rorsford into a trap set by the plotters. However, once she has betrayed him, Alma makes new plans to secure the diamond.

Release Date: 1952-01-21Mike Brackauer shrugs off his success as an artist, feeling that his rise to fame has been based on technical proficiency without any deep creative talent. He becomes increasingly moody over his failure to inject what he terms "the spark of life" into his paintings. His confidence in himself is suddenly restored when a department stor salesgirl tells him she can hear the sound of waves breaking when she looks at one of his seascape paintings. A short time later they fall in love and plan marriage until Brackauer's confidence again leaves him.
