Bergerac (1981)
Bergerac is a British television show set on Jersey. Produced by the BBC in association with the Seven Network, and first screened on BBC1, it stars John Nettles as the title character Detective Sergeant Jim Bergerac, a detective in Le Bureau des Étrangers, part of the States of Jersey Police.

Episode 4 - The Other Woman
Release Date: 1989-02-18Whilst playing golf, Charlie (who else?) finds the body of Graham Hawkesworth buries in a bunker. Investigations show that he was apparently having an affair with an unknown woman. This ‘other woman' is the prime suspect in Hawkesworth's murder and it appears that she is none other than Susan. It transpires that Graham invented the story that he was having an affair and chose Susan as the ‘other woman' in order to make his wife jealous. His wife is the real killer and plans to make Susan the next victim.

Release Date: 1989-03-11Philippa Vale gives sanctuary to a Canadian Olympic track star whose life has been threatened when he refuses to boycott an international hearing concerning drug abuse by athletes. Jim and Susan break off their relationship.

Release Date: 1989-03-18An eccentric Scotland yard detective arrives in Jersey for a holiday and to harass an island resident whom he considers a villain responsible for crippling his former partner.

Episode 9 - Second Time Around
Release Date: 1989-12-26David Mason murders Ted Grob by throwing him into a swimming pool, handcuffed to a patio recliner. Jim returns to duty to solve the murder and is asked by an ex-con who believes he was framed to go back over the details of the robbery of a courier company some years earlier which has a connection with the recent death.
