Debt to the Sea (2019)
Our story opens with a myth that every year seven people end up in the sea, because the sea is the beginning and the end of everything, it is the source of life and of survival, therefore a human sacrifice must be presented to it, willingly or unwillingly. The story is set in a place connecting present times and the past, the characters present and those disappeared, the living and the dead. Myths and legends determine the lives of the characters of the series "Debt to the Sea" in a specific way, and their interconnected complex destinies are told in a mystic atmosphere. Is the legend about the sea taking human offerings true? Are only the two stones with the same sign carved in them to be blamed for all the events, or are the reasons hidden among people and their secrets?

Episode 1 - Episode 1
Release Date: 2019-10-06The story opens when a group of archaeologists explore the forgotten excavations on the peninsula, while at the same time, a mysterious stranger, Djordje, arrives to their village. Their arrivals trigger a series of dramatic events.

Episode 2 - Episode 2
Release Date: 2019-10-13Perisa is trying to send his daughter Olga away to Belgrade. Djordje starts meeting people and learns about the village, but he doesn't reveal why he is there. Olga and Rnjo's relationship is blossoming despite her father.

Episode 3 - Episode 3
Release Date: 2019-10-20Zejo runs into Djordje and suddenly attacks him, pushing an unstable Djordje over the edge. Rnjo meets with local criminals who accuse him of stealing their drugs. Olga releases her frustration at an awkward family dinner and walks out.

Release Date: 2019-10-27Olga reveals the traumatizing circumstances around her mother's death while her aunt Mariska recalls her birth. Djordje follows the spectre of a young girl that haunts him. He hints to Olga that he has something for her.

Release Date: 2019-11-03Perisa, while seeking advice, runs into Milutin, to whom he owes money. The mysterious young girl leads Djordje to meet his dead daughter. She reveals how she died, and he's overcome with grief. Olga decides to go to Belgrade after all.

Release Date: 2019-11-10Olga is more disturbed by her mother's appearances. She begins to think that her mother killed herself and tries to find out whether the stone and the necklace have had some effect. She also sees her parents struggling with a problem.

Release Date: 2019-11-17Djordje confesses to Perisa that he came to Lustice to kill himself. Perisa hates lying to his daughter and owing money to Milutin. Olga discovers the clinic where her mother had been. She finds out that Djordje and Svetlana had met there.

Episode 8 - Episode 8
Release Date: 2019-11-24Perisa travels to Belgrade to find a solution for the debt. He sees Milutin and Olga outside a building. Olga wears the necklace and sees Svetlana and Djordje together at the clinic. After Djorde shares his grief with Svetlana, she leaves.

Episode 9 - Episode 9
Release Date: 2019-12-01Perisa agrees to a business proposal. Olga tells him she's leaving home. Rnjo and Olga are reunited and move into his grandmother's house. Perisa realizes he is going to lose his daughter forever if he doesn't tell her the truth.

Release Date: 2019-12-08Olga and Rnjo are settling in together, and Rnjo decides he's not part of their world and doesn't want to lose Olga. Perisa and Olga are still not talking, so Perisa reluctantly asks Rnjo for his help to talk to his daughter.

Release Date: 2019-12-15Perisa regains Olga's trust and has even accepted Rnjo. He has also finally organized his debts. The whole village comes together at a barbeque when Djorde appears. The only person who knows the whole truth about her mother is Olga.
