Birds of a Feather (1989)
Birds of a Feather is a British sitcom that was broadcast on BBC One from 1989 until 1998 and on ITV from 2013. Starring Pauline Quirke, Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph, it was created by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, who also wrote some of the episodes along with many other writers. The first episode sees sisters Tracey Stubbs and Sharon Theodopolopodos brought together when their husbands are sent to prison for armed robbery. Sharon, who lived in an Edmonton council flat, moves into Tracey's expensive house in Chigwell, Essex. Their next-door neighbour, and later friend, Dorien Green is a middle-aged married woman who is constantly having affairs with younger men. In the later series the location is changed to Hainault. The series ended on Christmas Eve 1998 after a 9-year-run.

Release Date: 1997-06-23Sharon is frantically trying to keep Chris out of her bed, and is prepared to go to any lengths to get a home of her own. Dorien is determined to win custody of the house and, posing as a barmaid, tracks down Marcus’s mistress in order to find out some home truths.

Episode 6 - Rising Damp
Release Date: 1997-06-30Tracey is anxious to make up for lost time, and heads out on the pull - but whatever happened to uncomplicated sex? While Garth is baffled by his mum's behaviour, Sharon gets on the TV to appeal for Chris's release, but ends up fighting the channel’s mascot - a man dressed as a dog.

Episode 7 - Three up, Two Down
Release Date: 1997-07-07Dalentrace is in jeaopardy as Sharon and Tracey sink into debt; Dorien's generosity cannot be a permanent solution. Tracey is becoming a decisive woman, and is taking matters into her own hands. Garth, meanwhile, decides to move in with his girlfriend Kimberly.

Episode 8 - Are You Being Served?
Release Date: 1997-07-14Tracy and Sharon are now living in their new house, as Dor comes to visit after her recent trip to Monaco. She comes back with the news that she slept with Ralph Gardener, head of Central Water, who is currently all over the media. She comes up with the plan to cash in by making up a story about being pregnant. Meanwhile, Sharon decides that she wants to have a baby, and gets Dor to hook her up with someone, while Tracy is completely against both of their plans.

Episode 9 - Never the Twain
Release Date: 1997-07-21Dorien is holed up in a Lake District hotel, devising juicy titbits with journalist David Kane. Sharon has started thinking about adoption, while Garth is worried about his dad. The sisters set off to visit their husbands in their new prison, Slade, while Dorien is pampered in the hotel.

Release Date: 1997-07-28Sharon is still assessing men for their reproductive potential making Tracey feel rather uncomfortable. 'Nouveau destitute' Dorien suddenly recalls she has a very rich mother-in-law, while Tracey drops the bombshell that she is pregnant and isn't sure it's Darryl's.

Episode 11 - Reservoir Birds
Release Date: 1997-12-27Sharon and Tracey are working at a casino and agree to take part in a publicity stunt in which Sharon 'appears' to win a million pounds. The sisters are unaware however that they have been set up as thieves by the owner.
