The widowed woman, who had no children and was the spouse of the wealthy Montgomery, is killed. Just before she died, she attempted to reach out to Bill Merrick, the soon-to-be husband of Harry's niece. An uncovered version of Montgomery's will shows that he had a son, making him the rightful heir.
