Competitors re-create weapons from historical periods ranging from Japanese katanas to medieval broadswords to ancient throwing blades. Each entry is judged on its artistry as well as its functionality and accuracy.

Episode 1 - On the Road: Texas Showdown
Release Date: 2023-10-04Heading to Texarkana, Texas, to the Bill Moran School of Bladesmithing, the oldest bladesmithing school in the country, where three of their top smiths will be put through the ultimate test.

Episode 2 - On the Road: Montana Face-Off
Release Date: 2023-10-04Heading to Bigfork, Mont., to the New Agrarian School where three of their top smiths will be tested like never before; after two grueling challenges only one will go on to represent the New Agrarian School in the finals for the ultimate grand prize.

Episode 3 - On the Road: Appalachian Showdown
Release Date: 2023-10-11In the heart of North Carolina's Appalachian Mountains is the world-renowned Clay Spencer Blacksmith shop, where three of the forge's best smiths will be tested; the winner will have the chance to compete against other smiths from across America.

Episode 4 - On the Road: Kalamazoo Combat
Release Date: 2023-10-18Heading to Kalamazoo, Mich., to Combat Ready Art, where three of their top smiths will be tested like never before; after two brutal challenges, only one will go on to represent Combat Ready Art back at the home forge for the ultimate grand prize.

Episode 5 - On the Road: American Champion
Release Date: 2023-10-25At the home forge, four of the nation's top smiths will go head-to-head in one final battle; after three grueling challenges, only one smith will come out on top, winning $20,000 for themselves and $10,000 in forging equipment for their shop.

Episode 6 - The Frankenstein Challenge
Release Date: 2023-11-01Four smiths must "Frankenstein" together discarded pieces of scrap steel to make their blades; after a horrifying round of testing, the remaining two smiths retreat to their home forges to create the legendary Crusader Bible Falchion.

Episode 7 - Chef's Special
Release Date: 2023-11-08Four smiths get cooking when they are tasked with forging a chef's knife; only two head back to their home forge to build a brutal hog splitter.

Episode 8 - Springtime for Napoleon
Release Date: 2023-11-15Four smiths spring into action when they must forge signature blades from the metal found in various household items; after a couple tough rounds, two smiths head to their home forges to recreate the Napoleon Presentation Saber.

Episode 9 - Instruments of Death: Masters of the Siege
Release Date: 2024-10-02Four teams of expert builders must create siege weapons; from war hammers to battering rams to ballistas, the strongest weapons earn $20,000 and the title of Forged in Fire: Instruments of Death champions.

Episode 10 - Beat the Unbeaten: Mastering the Mystery
Release Date: 2024-10-09Two previous champions go head to head in a 5-hour forging round; they make their own signature San Mai blades for the chance to compete against one of the titans of the forge.

Episode 11 - Beat the Unbeaten: Conquering the Kachin Dao
Release Date: 2024-10-16Previous champions battle for the chance to compete against one of the titans of the forge; but first they must face off in a brutal five-hour challenge, where they have to pick a box and build a signature blade using whatever method is inside.

Episode 12 - Beat the Unbeaten: A Cutlass Above
Release Date: 2024-10-23After facing off against a fellow champ, only one smith will remain and be tasked with making a M1917 Naval Cutlass, against either Gladiator of the Forge Jesse Hu, Superchamp Collin Sage, or Undefeated Judge Ben Abbott.
