Lucky (2003)
Lucky is an American dark comedy television series which ran for one season on FX Networks in 2003. The show starred John Corbett as Michael "Lucky" Linkletter, a professional poker player and gambling addict. The series was created by Robb Cullen and Mark Cullen. It was nominated for the 2003 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series.

Episode 1 - Pilot
Release Date: 2003-04-08After winning $1 million in the World Series of Poker at a Las Vegas casino, Michael "Lucky" Linkletter lived like a king... briefly. Now, one year later, he's penniless. Although Lucky's been clean from his gambling addiction for six months, his debts continue to mount—including money owed to his deceased wife's parents and a mobster. But when he finds a $100 chip, Lucky wonders how to parlay this unexpected windfall into a second chance. Lucky's pals Vinny and Mutha come up with a unique way for him to get the money to repay his former in-laws.

Episode 2 - Calling Dr. Con
Release Date: 2003-04-15In order to settle his debt with Joey Leggs, Lucky is forced to continue to gamble. Lucky's efforts are complicated when he meets a doctor, Amy, and her "son" who are down on their luck, and out of the goodness of his heart Lucky gives her the money that he needs. He then comes to realize that the woman played him when he sees her again in the casino with a wig on and finds out that her son is actually her nephew and she isn't willing to just give Lucky back his money. Joey and Danny pose as doctors and meet two other doctors. They set up a golf date and go golfing and gamble. They then owe the other two $5,500 but after Joey fakes a heart attack they soon realize they are not real doctors.

Episode 3 - Up the Steaks
Release Date: 2003-04-22A frazzled Theresa starts questioning her relationship with Lucky, feeling as if she is spending her nights with a compulsive gambler who has no clear goals. Lucky assures Theresa that if given some time to make a list, he could find some goals. After getting mugged at gunpoint by a masked figure and saved by a former gambler named Murray, Lucky has an epiphany: He'll no longer gamble. He'll work for Murray's company and sell meat. With Lucky's uncanny ability to decipher people, he's a natural salesman and quickly establishes Murray's meats as a staple around Las Vegas. The only problem is that the company's fiercest competitors, the Russo Brothers, aren't afraid to use intimidation to get sales. After a romantic dinner with Theresa is foiled by Russo's men, Lucky declares a "meat war" and vows that Murray's Meats will ultimately prevail.

Episode 4 - Come Lie With Me
Release Date: 2003-04-29As Theresa withdraws from her gambling addiction and has continued trouble with her husband, she relies on Lucky for support as her sponsor. In order to disguise the fact that he is a hypocrite, Lucky conceals from Theresa that he is gambling again.

Episode 5 - The Tell
Release Date: 2003-05-06As an important satellite tournament quickly approaches, Lucky develops a "tell" (a telltale sign to other players when Lucky is bluffing). Vinny and Mutha try to appear as a couple of card-counting geniuses to scam an unsuspecting target.

Episode 6 - Something for Everyone
Release Date: 2003-05-13On the anniversary of his wife, Sarah's, suicide, a grief-stricken Lucky is determined to play out the mantra she lived by, helping him to defy the odds of Las Vegas and win big at every turn. In spite of his winnings, Lucky is forced to finally deal with his grief.

Release Date: 2003-05-20When Mutha and Vinny are caught stealing coins in the Wild Pony Casino, the very reverent Detective Gibby McCall, sees his opportunity to extort Lucky for five thousand dollars.

Release Date: 2003-05-27A famous actor, Bobby Blaine, makes a deal with Lucky to be his technical advisor and show him what it's like to be a real gambler.

Episode 9 - Lie, Cheat, and Deal
Release Date: 2003-06-03Lucky is banned from gambling at the casinos after he is accused of cheating. Innocent, Lucky enlists Vinny and Mutha's help as he hunts down the people that have set him up. All clues lead to Amy, who denies her involvement and vows to get to the bottom of it.

Episode 10 - Leaving Las Vegas
Release Date: 2003-06-10Every year, on his birthday, Lucky plays roulette to decide his fate in Vegas. If he ever hits the number of his birthday on the wheel, he'll leave. This year he wins.

Release Date: 2003-06-17Lucky and Theresa are at a crossroads in their relationship and after they get in a fight, Mutha and Vinny try to fix things and only make matters worse.

Episode 12 - Money on Your Back
Release Date: 2003-06-24Lucky talks a judge into releasing Danny for five days before his trial, so long as he remains shackled to Lucky, who's playing in a poker tournament. Vinny and Mutha wonder if they've bottomed out and Theresa gambles after being clean for 57 days.

Episode 13 - It's in the Stars
Release Date: 2003-07-01Lucky and Theresa's relationship is tested by his resolve to play in the World Championship of Poker, while she faces a hard question from her Gamblers Anonymous sponsor after 57 days of not gambling.
